Hey I'm new to the Mitsubishi world. And actually new to driving even though I'm 25. I know how to make minor repairs and I know I could buy the manual but I'm kinda poor while waiting to finish paying.

So here it is.

1995
Mitsubishi
3000gt SL
126,000 miles
3.0 L DOHC 24-valve V6

I was wondering if anybody knew which pulley has the tension on it. And if possible what size wrench? I just don't want to keep making trips back and forth. it's stuck someplace up the road.

thanx

Its either a 10, 12, 14, or 17mm Depending on pulley, You need a socket wrench as the bolts are in the pulley

Those belts would NOT cause the car not to run.

Explain what happened.

It's the right belt I know that for sure. But what happened (and yes I know I'm a dumbass on this one) is that one morning as I was coming into work I heard this pop. I thought I had just run over something but i checked my tires and all was good. Later that day I noticed my battery light was on and figured it must be because of the problems i had been haveing lately. I'm kinda broke while trying to hurry and finish paying for it. So the other night as I was heading home I had someone ask me if my headlights was running when he saw me on the road and sure enough they were extremely dim. As I tried to nurse it home tit just quit all together. Now mind you this was at one in the morning so I couldn't see. I proceeded to check my connections because I have been haveing some electrical problems, and when I pulled out the battery fuse and blew into it a bit and plugged it back in all the lights and everything came back on fully light but the car wouldn't turn over. I went out the next day during lighted times to find the Serpentine belt which runs the Alt., Comp., Idler & Tens., A.C. had poped off. so basically for about two days i had no belt on my car and had been running off battery alone with no alternator to back it up.

Now mind you this is all how i assume things are going on but again I am new at this. I'm going out today to put the belt on and get a jump to see if I can get it home.

Hopefully the next time i talk it will be about something good.

If you can Download the manual.

There is a pulley on a slider that uses a 10 or 12 mm at the top to adjust tension and a 12 or 14mm. to attach the pulley to the bracket.
