sorry if this has been discussed already but i was just wondering, since they are the same exact engine will things like the internals work for the lancer? I found a web site that sells things for the evo like camshafts and pistons... etc. I dont know a whole lot but... :ninja:

Yes and no....
They are not the same engine at all. They may both be 4b11s but thats the only thing they have in common. A turbo runs differently than a N/A engine so parts are not interchangeable even though they are made by the same company
Pistons have a lower compression ratio on a turbo than on an N/A.

They will not work in the 09s as they are a 2.5. The bore/stroke is different. You might be able to swap them out for the 08s but that would take tuning and you would be getting way less power than they are made for b/c the compression ratio on the EVO in 9:1 but on the Lancer its 10:1
As for camshafts I dont' really know but I would guess not....

Stick with lancer parts my friend, just playing with fire if you don't know what you're doing

I just like working on my lancer and i want to work on it but i want to get something out of the car! Ya know? I took a ride in my buddies wrx! More power would be great, not saying i need or want a turbo (though it would be sweet). I'm just bored. :hyper:

I've been hearing good stuff about the exhaust header as well, unless your #2 is inclusive of that. I rarely talk to anybody who thinks exhaust is anything but a muffler ( *cough* delete *cough*) from Canadian Tire... and I hate every moment of it.

so totally off subject but does anyone else have a lot of trouble with the police from their cars? I have been pulled over 2 times in the last 2 weeks and now have 320 dollars in fines so i dont have money for the car anymore so it doesnt matter!!!!!!! :( F!@# cops! Anyways, maybe by the time i get money they will have come out with more stuff to put on! pistons, some good headers, camshaft, turbo kits that are worth a sh*t.

not true at all...internals of the evo X ARE interchangeable and have been changed before.

Xtreemboost has done this before..although the low compression pistions may not actually do much gain on our NA lancers..they are interchangeable
