I got in trouble a few years ago for having a blue neon license plate frame. <_< Seems here in NC at least, you can't have any blue light on your car (except maybe under it) & no red lights anywhere except in the back. I don't mind the park/turn signal lights yet, but am considering changing the side turn signal lights to white.

#1) Great site, but the largest size you can fit for the city lights is 10mm (diameter) x 27mm (length). Anything longer than 27mm will NOT fit. I have the SMT Towers and those suckers are BRIGHT, but they barely fit in the housing.

#2) Regarding the color of the bulbs/light emitted, you MUST match the color of the housing. If you are putting a bulb in a clear housing, the only colors you should be putting in there are WHITE or AMBER. If it's in a red housing, there's no point in putting any other color in there since the color emitted will always be red (unless you get a SUPER bright yellow bulb and stick that in a red housing, then the yellow light will power through the red housing... adding a red LED in a red housing will give you a gorgeous CRIMSON red). If you use red or blue LEDs, the cops WILL give you trouble (and a headache) over it.

#3) You can't change the side marker turn signals to white. If you take a really close look, you will see that the amber inside of the housing is actually a cylinder shaped housing that covers the bulb. Secondly, the bulb cannot be removed or changed since the housing is sealed shut (unless you bake). Lastly, the bulb inside is already a LED. You can tell because it doesn't have a cool-down time like regular halogen bulbs when it flickers.

That's only the case for headlight bulbs. The city lights are always low power consumption, so they are highly unlikely to ever get damaged.
