i dont kno much about evo's execpt for the engine thats in them but, im looking for a set of evo 8 wheels for my 3g...but im not sure if they will bolt up and clear the front brakes. can anyone help me with this.

If they're 5 bolt like our cars then yes. The Evo has bigger brakes than our cars and it clears those so it won't have a problem with ours. As long as their not too wide and going to be rubbing the inside of your wheelwell.

ok...i did some research and found out that the evo 8 wheels are 17x8 witha a 5x114.3 bolt pattern...i think they will fit perfectly with no rubbing because i seen a 2g with them on and his car was lowered 1.7in in the front and 1.5in in the rear and he has no rubbing ith his oem wheel well and spalsh graurds.

Then I'd say go for it, as long as that's the wheels you really want. Cause I think the Evo wheels look pretty badass.
