So last Friday I got into an accident because of this girl who suddenly made a stop to take a left turn and I ended up hitting her. The good this was that she actually admitted that it was her fault, but nonetheless, my insurance will still go up. :crying:

Anyway this means I get a new body kit, I was talking to the auto body shop guy and he said he can put any kind of parts that I want as long as they're the same price or less as the original parts. I'm thinking about getting the Evo X body kit.

Any suggestions as to from where or which one?

do not go with accolade. They are not worth the hassle and have had lots of complaints. Check the BBB and find out.

This is a new cheap kit for front bumper and rear bumper with diffuser.

You can get a new hood from dealership, and try and get the projector lights.

I've heard bad things about Accolade before and shipping takes forever, the insurance company is only paying for a rental car for up to 30 days, so I can't wait for more than 2-3 weeks for the parts to arrive and then still have them installed another 1-2 weeks perhaps. So that's still in the air about ordering from them.

Now, the body kit from Auto City Imports, http://autocityimports.com/2008-mitsubishi...div-p-8004.html Is it that bad? Just bad quality itself?

As for the hood, I'm considering this one: http://www.carbonbydesign.com/proddetail.asp?prod=EVOXHOOD But I'm not so sure it's within the price of the original hood that the insurance company will pay for.

That body kit from Auto City Imports is made by I Extreme Dimensions I believe. If thats the case thats another shotty company you wanna stay away from. No matter which kit you go for, you're going to have A LOT of body work to do on the kit to make it fit properly and look decent.

hey dude the pretty much same thing happend to my blue lancer except on the right side :[ i'm taking it to the dealer and getting a kit installed instead, surprisingly they're doing it for less than the adjuster's estimate compared to the body shops i went to who would do it for the same amount as the adjuster's estimate.

i would reccommend something from http://www.bodykits.com/store/bmy_search.p...ancer&Year=2008

such as the gt concept kit, make sure you double check on ebay though that you're getting it for the cheapest price, i did a good amount of research on it, basically idk if your ins. co. works the same, they're gonna write you a check for an amt then if u need to spend more for the kits then jus pay the difference outta ur pocket.

it's sucks bro i've been driving around college in a beat up 09 car for like 2 wks now, i feel so embarassed. can't wait till they fix my baby. lol

remember that you get what you pay for. you dont really wanna look around for the cheapest price possible. If you're looking for cheap, then dont complain about quality.
