Newbie Group: Members Posts: 6 Joined: 16-September 08 Member No.: 64,425 Status: Location: Nebraska, USA Drives: 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder	ok so i have a guy that can do an engine swap for me, but i dont know wat all i need to buy besides the actual engine right now i have the 4g64 but want to swap in a 4g63. i dont exactly know who to buy the engine itself from or what other parts will need to be replaced can somebody please help

You can take that block and machine it and put in some lower compression pistons, then put a 4g63t head on it and whatever turbo you choose... So you have a 2.4l turbo. I digress, you need the intake and everything from the 4g63t. And the ecu for that engine. I have never done it, but all the connections are the same, it's just a taller block i believe.

Seems like a pattern	take your 4g64 engine out and remove all the guts. find a BARE 4g63 block and put your 4g64 crank in it with some of these in it: http://www.slowboyracing.com/sbs/sbr_produ...cat=4128&page=1 add a 1g 4g63 head and voila you have a 6-700 hp capable engine then sell me your 4g64 block :thumbsup:
