i have a 97 eclipse gs 5 speed i want to do alot of work to it. its my new project car and i know alot about the 4g63 but not alot about the 420a. i want to sleev it forged crank, bigger cam shaft, bigger injectors, port and polish the head, new intake, and anything else that you can think of that i might need for a turbo set up. prices and web sites would be great. thanks for the help.

Like many topics similar to this one you need to tell us a goal so that we may recommend whats best. You will prolly need all new forged internals unless you aren't planning for anything more than 250 hp more. Check out http://www.turbosystem.com/~This is the hahn race craft sight. Has great kits for the 420a going turbo.

strange, that site says you don't need to upgrade your engine internals for either their stage 1 or 2 turbo kits for the 420a. i've read through every sticky on this board in its entirety and it sounds like without forged internals these turbo kits are a disaster waiting to happen.

i checked up for rods and pistons about 750, and arp head studs are going for about 117, the only thing left would be a metal head gasket, i found all this stuff on ebay but is there any other places out there that are cheaper and if any body has a turbo set up they want to sell let me know cuz i am in the market to buy one. but if you want lots of power to internals it will be worth the money.
