Like many topics similar to this one you need to tell us a goal so that we may recommend whats best. You will prolly need all new forged internals unless you aren't planning for anything more than 250 hp more.

God I am tired of seeing these posts... I think we need a intro page to the site that says "You must search before you post or your post will be deleted" And make a way so that they are forced toread it. >.>

No need for sleeving. Just get it .20 over. No need for a forged crank. Stocker can handle alot. Get some better connecting rods tho. And pistons. Go either high or low comp. on the pistons depending on your devious goals.

you can't sleeve a 420a, that's a honda thing. you also DONT NEED:

to port and polish the head
a new intake
bigger cams
and the things mentioned in the reply above this (except the rods and pistons part)

if you go with low compression pistons you have a 400hp capable engine

strange, that site says you don't need to upgrade your engine internals for either their stage 1 or 2 turbo kits for the 420a. i've read through every sticky on this board in its entirety and it sounds like without forged internals these turbo kits are a disaster waiting to happen.

The stage 1 and 2 turbo systems are only runnning at 7psi on a very small turbo. If you want to run any more than that or get a bigger turbo, you will need to upgrade internals.

interesting. so you don't need forged internals to get a rs/gs faster than a gst/gsx. i read in one of the stickies that to push a 420a above 220ish hp (without the internal upgrades) for too long was just asking for it. hahns seems to beg to differ since they claim a hp of 200-225 with the stage 1 kit, and 250-275 with the stage 2 kit.

with the stage 1 or 2 kit you will have around the same hp (approximately) as the GST.

so i guess their claims at 250-275hp for the stage 2 is a marketing gimmick and just way overrated then. good to know.

i checked up for rods and pistons about 750, and arp head studs are going for about 117, the only thing left would be a metal head gasket, i found all this stuff on ebay but is there any other places out there that are cheaper and if any body has a turbo set up they want to sell let me know cuz i am in the market to buy one. but if you want lots of power to internals it will be worth the money.

I wouldn't trust ebay for internals.

Best bet is somewhere reputable like http://www.slowboyracing.com

I got my JE pistons and Eagle connecting rods from ebay. Came in factory sealed boxes. The same stuff slowboy will send you, but at 3/4 the price.
