Passenger Window Not Working, Dont think its motor

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 29-September 08 Member No.: 65,159 Status: Location: Hawaii Drives: 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS	My passenger window was working fine. I rolled it up left my car and when i came back later that night it wasn't working. Not like it was having a hard time it just didnt work at all no sound nothing. I tried to roll it down from both passenger and drivers side and got the same results. I figured the motor burnt out so i picked one up and plugged it in to see if it was working before i went through the hassle of installing it, and the new one wouldn't run either. The power locks work fine and my speakers work fine. Drivers side works fine. I had no problems before it was out of the blue it died. I have no clue whats wrong. Anyone had this problem before? Is it wiring or something? :puzzled:

It could be something else but it's worth throwing out there.

Check it! It only applies to passenger side. [EDIT] But the switch is on the driver's side. It's a button.

Senior Group: Members Posts: 264 Joined: 19-August 08 Member No.: 62,936 Status: Location: Chicago area IL USA Drives: 2000 Eclipse GT 5 spd.	check for power and ground at the motor, if you dont get it there then you have a wiring issue. If you do get both at the motor then you got a defect motor.

Honestly, check the lock button, I feel like a total tool telling you this could be your solution, but just do it.

Wish i didnt take everything apart and buy a new motor. At least i wasnt the only one. Got to return the motor so its all good now. Thanks for the help

But at least you got it fixed.
