Hey guys need some help here. My wifes computer/ecu has gone out in her 2003 oz rally lancer. The Problem is it will not send a signal to the ignition coils to start the car. So insted of paying a dealer 2500 or more to change this computer out i have decided to do this my self so i have a couple questions i hope you can help me with.

1) Where is the computer located? (i was told it is under the center console)
2) Can this be done and work properly without reflashing the computer?
3) is there a special number or model number i need to look for on the computer?

thanks guys for any help you can give.

There could be alot of reasons why a signal is not being sent. Or it is not working. Could be a bad coil pack, bad sensor, or a number of things. Usually speaking the ECU does not just go out. I say that because I have been there and bought a ECU for the same problem, needless to say that was not the problem.

Check your PM heading out for the day!
