Hi all, from previous posts it now seems my power door locking is starting to fail. When you turn the key sometimes to unlock it begins to issue a switching or knocking sound. One fix seems to be to take out the mechanism and add in a piece of rubber which may have failed.

My question is then how does the door moulding come off. I haven't looked closely but there appears to be some screws and does the door opener need to come off prior to trying to get the moulding off? Also are there any clips or plastic bits that I need to avoid breaking?

I'd rather be safe than sorry...any takers?

cheers

Theres a couple screws around the outside edge. One in the door handle trim.

Then it slides up and out. BUT there are two wires with short leashes. One for the windows and one for the light.
