my timing belt tentioner pulley broke and my question is what are the chance that stuff didnt get jacked up? and could i just replace the pulley and reset the timing and have it run?

I just found that the timing got messed up on a 3KGT i've been working on. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be / could be when that happens. I took some pictures under the valve covers - have a look HERE.

yea, if you have a look at the valves and the other "stuff" under the valve covers, and everything is ok, then straightening out your timing belt might be all that you need to do. If somthing was going to get screwed up from the timing belt being off, it would be under there..

cool cool and if i do a compression check once all that is back together and theres no leaks then i should be all good?

how many teeth off are your cams?

If it's like 1 or 2 teeth, you MAY be alright. If it's more than that, don't waste your time trying to see if it's OK... they're fucked.
