you can start by taking out the screws holding them in. Then pull them to release the lock tabs. Just make sure all the screws come out first or you'll have twice as many pieces to reinstall.

If common sense isn't enough for you to figure it out, then refer to the Service Manual.

Just wondering, how to you intend on painting these? I'm willing to bet you take the cheap way out and make it look like shit then ask how to fix it.

the only way you should ever do your own interior paint is with vinyl, leather, or plastic dying paints. below i will offer a site of one such brand of paint. the link takes you straight to the features page where it lists the application tips on how to prep and apply the paint. do not under any circumstances use paint you can buy from a hardware store. they do not have lasting dyes for automotive uses. even their automotive primers and paint are crap. the colorbond paint i am suggesting is used by the Ford Motor Company. the price of the paint seems steep, but like cliche says no matter how dang annoying it is, "you get what you pay for." if you don't like the price you can always google "vinyl dye spray paint" and try to find some more inexpensive dye paint, i just tend to go with what the big dogs use. remember to always read the instructions that some with the products and allow for proper curing time.

I have seen that stuff in action, and it works... but it fades really bad after a couple of years.

Then again, so do most interiors.

of course it fades, but since when did anyone say tuner painting was something that you just do and forget about. any kind of changing in a car whether it be painting or upgrading takes upkeep. i guess that is what everyone should keep in mind when doing anything to a vehicle. but of course the dye paint i recommended is a lot less effort for upkeep and for upkeep costs. rather than if you just use a spray paint can from say, wal-mart. so in my opinion, i'd say that stuff is the kind of stuff you'd need to use FTW!!
