Hi i have an 02' gs and when im letting the clutch out in reverse sometimes in first and very seldom downshifting and shifting in other gears, the clutch pops or makes a loud click. This worries me cause idk if its a sign the clutch is going and that ill have to dump a **** load of money in it when im about to drive across the country to move. Also i just started to notice some irregularities with my heater it seems to go from hot to cold in no particular order like in some of the other topics. sometimes when im stop and engine is warm its fine other times i feel it cooling off. when the heat is not all the way up about two clicks from all the way and on 3 or 2 on the blower it seems ok. sometimes when im driving im fine then others its not. I was reading that the drive belt connects to the heating and cooling as well. My drive belt has been getting steadily squeaker and squeaker and thought maybe this could be the problem. maybe the belt has too much tension to continue running the heater.

ps. this couldnt have come at a worse time not only am i moving but its about to be winter and im going from texas to pennsylvania please any comments are welcomed and appreciated

Well if you're belts getting squeakier and squeakier then my guess is it's not too tight, it's just slipping enough to where you can feel it cooling off and then when it stops slipping it heats back up again. Depending on mileage on your car you might need your serpentine belt replaced anyways.

As for your clutch, it might just be time for a new clutch if it's making a clunk or popping noise. Hopefully it's just that and not your entire transmission going bad, cause if that's the case, just ask Bobthecow how expensive transmission work is on these cars.
