Srs Light On, reset SRS light 1996 mitsubishi eclipse

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 5 Joined: 2-October 08 Member No.: 65,297 Status: Location: Staten Island, NY Drives: 1996 mitsubishi eclipse	I was driving my car all day without any issues and then after parking my car and turning it back on the SRS Light is ON! What can I do? How can I reset it or see why it is on?

1.8 God Group: Members Posts: 2,229 Joined: 28-April 05 Member No.: 9,294 Status: Location: Fairmont, WV Drives: '93 Eclipse 1.8, '03 Dodge Neon SXT	If by "SRS light" you mean the check engine light, then simply go to Autozone or Advance Auto or something nad they will scan your car for free. They will give you the code and a description. Bring that back here and we will help diagnose your problem. Without that or some sort of description for the problem, it is virtually impossible for us to help. lol

I looked up SRS light and it is NOT the check engine light. It is the Service Restraint System light. It turned out to be the wire under the bag came loose and wasnt connected anymore. I reconnected it and the light shut off.
