hello i just purchased a 1997 galant es and trying the do some maintence, i flushed the transmission fluid out and i went to the auto parts store and read a few atf oils and the castrol was compatible with the diamond sp. is that ok? and if i dont change the filter how may quarts should i put? and should i add conditioner?

about 3.8-4 should do it. Check the fluid with the engine warm and motor off. Everyone thinks yur spossed to check Mitsubishi transmission with the engine runnig , but that will give a false reading. Yu are spossed to check it warm and engine off. Checking it with it running will make it seem thats it got way more than it should
