Those of you who are familiar with my plight have probably been reading my other post about my engine swap and NON RUNNING 1994 MONTERO SR 3.5L V6.

Now I turn it over and the fuel pump does not run. I had my ECM gone through and installed a 2nd MFI relay. The pump runs when tested through the test lead, but will not run when I turn the engine over with the key.

I had the intake plenum off for about the third time to replace some suspect injectors (see my other post--yep the long one) and I don't think we screwed anything up! I can't see anything on the wiring diagram other than the ECM and MFI relay that run the fuel pump...

Can these pumps be bad even when they run on direct voltage?
Is there anthing else other than the MFI relay that can cause problems?

Thanks!

Jason

Oh, no! It's popping fusible links!

When the key is turned, the link is shorting out with blue sparks and all! Fun!

We have continuity to the MFI relay from the fusible link.

I'm wondering if I've got a bad ground somewhere!

I have a ground in a questionable spot on the top of the motor to the firewall, but it seems the wire length only allows the ground wire to rest on the intake plenum.

Could my frame ground be bad?

We're close!

Anyone?
