Hello guys,

here in austria i got the new lancer 08, but the the engine is not as strong as in the united states. the engine has 1.8L and 145 hp.
Now my question: I want the HKS Hi Power Exhaust on my car but i donīt believe that it will work, because this exhaust is for 2.0L+...

Has someone experiences with it?

thank you for advice

All 2008 Lancers, regardless of where they are located are 1.8L engines. 2009 DE and ES models are also 1.8L. The only trim with a 2.4L is the 2009 GTS.

Dont worry about what size engine the website says the exhaust is for. It will still fit your car.

What?! I am pretty sure that all 2008 versions are 2.0 liters, and the 2009 de and es are also 2.0 liters... please correct me and explain if I am wrong.

Yeah pretty much. They are all 2.0 except for the 09 GTS and outside of the US they go lower. You prob should just call HKS on those details :57:

No LANCER comes stock with a turbo, unless it's an Evo. All foreign models come with an optional (in some countries mandated) ~1.5L engine and some models come diesel too.

If you can say otherwise, I'd like to see pics to back it up.

He's probably referring to this...

LuDa aka Bo38's friend (the infamous I NEEZ TARBO!) is hell bent on believing the radiator in that picture is an intercooler.
