Hey everyone in Mitsubishi forums!

My name is Mitch, and I'm from Melbourne, Australia.

I am in the market for my first car. I'm 19 (yeah, late bloomer I know, but it'll be worth it) and am in a band where I play guitar. This means I have to get a car which can fit my amp in the boot. For anyone who doesn't know, the standard amplifier for me involves a speaker cabinet with 4x10" or 4x12" speakers in it, as well as the head unit, which is relatively small.

Anyhow thus far I've been looking into Magna's because they're fairly cheap to run, are fairly cheap as a car for a later model, and have the car space that I need. But I've been wondering - could a 4-door Lancer sedan be the go instead? Clearly the Lancer would be more economical fuel-wise (anyone in Australia knows fuel prices are going up at the moment) and if the boot size would house my amplifier it might be more appropriate. Can anyone help me out? I've been trying to find boot-size specifications for a 4-door Lancer sedan but as yet have been unable to find anything.

Also, I've been looking at the mid-nineties range of the cars, and I know with Magna's the new body shape came in 1996 - the earlier 1996 ones have the older shape. Was this the same for Lancers? If not, what year did the newer shape with the triangle lights come in?

I'll post this in more appropriate threads in case no one reads this.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone,

Cheers and beers,
Mitch
