QUOTE(daham @ Oct 5 2008, 03:03 PM) I have a 99 GS Eclipse 10th anniversary edition and i The only mod right now is a 2" exhaust and a headunit. I am looking to get spyder auto header, the projector headlights (clear and blue) altezza tailights, B&M Short shifter, and the spyder auto CAI. I am just looking to get some small mods to add some power and make it look a little better.
2" exhaust is smaller than OEM. the spyder has a different engine than your's, I don't see how the header would fit. I also doubt the spyder came from the factory with a CAI and even if it did there would be a MAF sensor in there somewhere that you don't need/have. QUOTE My friend had a 98 GS Spyder and used spyder auto with no problem but he could have just gotten lucky. dont' know what you are trying to say here

For performnce mods for an NT 420a, there really isn't lot you can do to get some serious power, other than to go turbo. For NT stuff, you are going to be looking at a CAI like you have mentioned, intake manifold, exhaust header, and exhaust system. For your application, pipe is pipe ( I think I just paid EMC3KGT a royalty for that). Get a cheap pipe off ebay, and toss on a K&N filter. A good intake and header will cost a bit, and I really wouldn't recommend it. IMO, it would be a waste of money. For an exhaust system, a regular Magnaflow Street system would work just fine for your purposes.

Ok first off, if you want to go turbo, you will need WAY more than the intercooler and the turbo. There are many other things you need, like the manifold, Air/Fuel controller, etc.. Also, You can just throw on ANY turbo. You need the required supporting mods to run certain turbos. Without an upgraded fuel sysetm and other things, you will not be able to run a turbo larger than a peanut. Odds are if the turbo your friend is selling you is "big" then you will probably be looking at a few grand to get it set up.
Also, if you plan to bore it out, you will need to get oversized pistons as well.
