go with aftermarket. just tap into your rear speakers to connect your amp its not hard and you get decent output from the stock head unit. if you want more output buy the aux input module from mitsubishi and turn the volume up on your mp3 player...makes your radio come alive.

best sub would be the MTX jackhammer.. but good luck fitting one of those in our lancers lol. if money is no object, go with an pioneer pdx-1.1000 amp and a couple alpine type r subwoofers

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4281_A...D+-TYPE+R-.html (subs)

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6893_A....1000.html(amp)

also i recommend the box you use to be 1 inch thick wood and if you are getting 2 subwoofers to either have the box ported or vented.

almost forgot (jackhammer) http://www.termpro.com/dbdrag/photos/E4452W1M6842P3C.jpg

hehe the jackhammer seems to be reeeeaaaaly nice :>>>

but the other two things are also o.k. :D..

and whats with the power of the stock unit? the amp has about 1000W.. are your sure that it will work and that the radio will come alive or only with a mp3 player?

greetings

That's an awesome price on both that amp and the subs. Go with that and it will have a lot of bass!

Putting the factory Rockford amp and sub in a car that doesn't have it is just not worth the time and trouble. you have to get all that gear, the harnesses, wire it all up like, make the radio talk to the amp right. all for just ok sound. go with aftermarket and you will be much happier.

But hey if you want, I will sell you my factory sub for $150

The stock amp and sub are nothing to write home about, you can find way better ones out there, personally im a kicker fan, shopping around helps alot. As for installing them get it professionaly done, that way theres no screw ups. as well there sould be a sub out in the stock deck. they wouldnt replace the entire thing if you were to get the audio package if aor when you bought it, so installing should be simple to the tech, just a matter of running some wires.
