lol.... didn't mean to be so blunt but I'm not a big fan of the nose masks. I know your pain when it comes to the front of the car. Paint is cheap, there's no way around that, however I would spend the extra $$$ and do a clear bra (3m type stuff). Looks much better IMO. Watch out right before the rear wheel well... that will get fed up by rocks badly!!! Lots of info on that stuff in here

I've got to agree that the nose bras seem well out of date. The clear bra is the way to go. If you do decide to keep the nose bra on though then be careful that dirt and stuff doesn't get underneath it and scratching your paint. It happened my friend's civic and looked horrible. I hear ya on the love bugs though. They had huge numbers here in Savannah a few weeks ago. I just put paint sealant on my whole car and that seems to keep bug guts and bird droppings from harming the paint (too bad it does nothing for rocks though :( )

A nose bra is a good way to risk actually killing the finish rather than protecting it. Bits of particles and debris get stuck underneath it, and as the body flexes and/or the bra moves, it can actually grind those bits into the clear coat. The other issue is water getting stuck under there via rain and car washes. The latter especially is quite dirty and contains contaminates, though acidic rain will do the same in heavier populated areas. Car washes do not use filtered ionized water, so all that shit sits there underneath the bra and does not make it look pretty. It doesn't breathe that well, either. I mean, it will protect against larger stuff, but..

Anyway, It looks like you were asking for an honest opinion in your first post, so I'll give you one: it looks absolutely awful, and hides so much of the looks of the car. Like a hot chick wearing a fat suit.

If I where you I would only use it for long trips when you will be on a highway or something. On a nice sunny day cruising through town.... I'd take it off

Maybe it's just me, but the only times I've really seen these are when people have crashed in to something, and want to hide the damage.

So... to me, it looks like you hit something, and can't afford your deductible.

Don't feel so bad, I bought the hood protector a few months ago and had the same problem lol everyone hated it... and to be honest I am starting to agree with them on it lol I'm pretty sure I'm going to bite the bullet and replace it with the 3M stoneguarding instead of this ugly 150$ piece of plastic
