Recently I unhooked my battery and now my stereo system will not work, it keeps prompting me for a code. It is an Infinity 6 speaker stereo. I called the dealership and they told me I would have to bring it in and pay a fee of $89.95 to get it turned back on. Can anyone help me? I think that to pay that much and drive over 100 miles(I don't live near a dealership), and to take off of work just for a code is asking a bit much. Thanks

you can do one of two things....

1. take the radio out and get the model number off the cd player. call the dealership and ask them for the code. if they try to charge you, try another dealership. keep trying dealerships until you find one that will do it for free(yes they do exist)

2. If you have the model # then call 407 291 1448 and ask for RIAN and tell him the serial # so that you can get the code for it, if not you have to pull your radio compartment out. on the bottom of it there will be two screws get that out and pull that compartment out then go ahead and look at the model # you should be able to see if just enough to jot it down. good luck. that should do it.

The 89.95 is the charge for pulling your radio out, not the actual code. Get the serial number and call them again

Hi, I had your same problem last year, if you check the forum and search for "radio codes" there's a guy named Kris here his user name I believe is 2007mitsueclipse, or something similar, just email him directly with the serial numbers off the top of ur stock radio (you will actually have to do the removal yourself, but I found it to be very easy) and he will be able to give you the actual code, he helped me out and he is super nice about it too. Sincerely, Maddy :)
