I found this 1997 Automatic Gs-T with 95k and new trans and i'd like to know if it's worth the $5999 he wants for it. If not how much it is worth.

This will (hopefully) be my first car so if there's anything i could add to it or get rid of i'd love to hear what they are!

By the way, my friends always ask why i'd rather get an automatic, and it's just that i don't want to end up with crankwalking problems and motor swapping, etc. It's too expensive for me atm.

Here are the mods on the car:

Hahn Racecraft Super 16G Turbo (Installed at 55,000 in Feb. 2002)
Hahn Racecraft FMIC (Feb 2002)
Greddy Upper Intercooler Piping (Feb 2002)
Walbro HP 255LPH Fuel Pump
Apex'i Dunk Exhaust System
Hahn Racecraft 3"DP
Hahn Racecraft 3' Cat Greddy Intake Pipe
K&N FPIK Intake
Greddy Type S BOV
RRE 1G Bore out TB
RC 550cc Injectors
Evo III Exhaust Manifold w/ gasket(Installed 08/07)
Accel 7mm Wires
Grounding Wires
NGK Plugs
Red Top Optima Battery
Front & Rear Upper Strut Bars
Apex'i SAFC
HKS Turbo Timer Greddy Profec B Boost Controller
Jumptronix Voltmeter
Autometer Phantom Boost Gauge
Greddy peak hold EGT Gauge
Good Year tires on 2001 Eclipse Rims
(Tires alone were $700 and have less than 8,000 miles on them)
RRE stainless steel brake lines
Custom Metallic Maroon Paint Job (July 2007)
New Front Bumper (July 2007)
New Crossdrilled Rotors (Jan 2007)
New Calipers (Jan 2007)
New Brakepads (Jan 2007)
15% Tints in Front and 5% in rear
Fully Rebuilt Transmission (9/07)
New Radiator (9/07)
New Aftermarket Transmission Cooler (9/07)

Any input would help, thanks alot! :)

is this thsi gst trim? or did he turbo a gs model? Either way he has modded the HELL outta the car, and the fact that he's gone thru 1 transmission means he beat on int.

That much stuff + auto tranny = many future tranny problems.

If you buy it, I'd start looking for a standard with a blown motor, preferably a GSX, then swap all that stuff into the GSX.

Modding a car really decreases its value. If you use the right leverage i think you could get him to come down to 4.5k or so. Even then thats kinda pricey for a gst. you can get a gsx for 5k or less.

I personally wouldn't buy it. With that many mods and especially on an auto you're expecting a lot of problems in the future. Working on auto's is a bitch too. Militaryman is right though I would buy a stock GSX over a modded GST auto. Hell I wouldn't even buy a 2g personally lol but i'm bitter.

i'd personally rather have an auto

you can beef them up just like a manual
can make them shift faster
wont burn through synco's like all modd'd dsms do
wont ever miss a shift racing that asshole so he cant make fun of you
doesnt lose as much boost in between shifts
can do hankypanky with your g/f and you dont have to worry about shifting

i'm sure theres more to;)

sounds like a sweet car..

any pictures?

All this has some truth, however, it only holds its ground in a drag race. Alot of us, like myself, prefer the road course or something with loads of turns, in which case, manuals are superior.

^not always the case. autos use the engines torque a little more efficiently and can pull out of a turn a little better but have to be sequential which almost makes it a dog box anyway.

to the OP I wouldn't pay more than $5k for it. that's what I paid for my slightly modified TSI AWD and that's the reason I paid that much for it..........it was "slightly" modified. i wouldn't have bought it for more than $3500 if it had all kinds of shit done under the hood

4.5k for a stock 95 tsi awd. You get the drift, don't pay too much for the car.
