Hi,

I'm a big guy 6'4" 230lbs and am looking to replace the front seats in my car.

I need help finding and buying new seats that will be a little more comfortable than the stock ones. I find the right side of the chair to wear down easily and at times I get poked with the metal framework. I've had it reupholstered once already.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

I know guys much bigger than you who drive these cars and they have no problem.

Go to a junkyard or car-part.com and look for another stocker.

Actually Nick, since your mustang is a GT with a Mach1 engine accidentally put into it, it just has the regular GT seats. Whereas the Mach1 has more buckety seats. Don't take my word for it, look. Here's a mach1 interior

http://www.mach1registry.com/screensavers/...ior1024x768.jpg

It's kinda dark but you can see that it has alot more side bolstering than your seats in your GT with a Mach1 engine.

Here's the interior of your car.

sorry for the long link but it's the best one I found.

But yes I can see where Givewe gets where the Mach1 seats hug you quite a bit more.

You got it. And I don't think they changed the shape of the seat all that much from the regualr GT, I think the actual back part of the seat is recessed a bit more so that it feels like the side bolstering is more "huggy" but the bottom bolstering is definitely different.

Recaro's are what they used in the Mustang Cobra R. They are nice but for cars like ours, I am partial to Sparco. But that's just my opinion.

You could always go for the electric seats out of a 3000gt. The 3000gt I test drove you can change you could change the sides of the seats to suit how much you wanted to be "hugged" in the seats.
