Hi guys:

When I drive my 2000 Mirage DE I feel that when the car gets 60 mph in the highway, the engine slow down a little bit like if it had 5th gear. ( Mine has AT).

Reading about Auto Trannys in the Internet i found that some cars features something called Torque Converter Lockup.... is that the case of the Mirage's Transmision???

besides that, my car runs in prettu good conditions and mileage is excellent.

Yes , its a feature called Over Drive . Its an clutch over run feature on the transmission that is similar to locking up the Torque Converter at higher speed cruising. In which this feature uses the clutch over run feature to enable the input shaft speed of the transmission to match that of would actual speed of the engine for better fuel economy
