I just recently bought a 98 eclipse gs. the person i bought it from put a 5zigen exhaust on it. its like a 4 inch muffler, and its waaayy too loud, i haven't been driving it for more than a week, and i have already been pulled over for it being too loud. I don't want to get pulled over anymore, so all my friends are telling me to get a new muffler, and i want to, but i don't know what to get, i still want my car to sound nice, but i don't want a stock muffler, what should i get?

Sounds ok when the car is idle, imagine stress when its driving, it would sound ricy as hell. Buts its not that bad

Over time these packed muffler loss their effectiveness to reduce noise , I like the 3 chamber high performance muffler it doesnt use packing, of course is affects the high end output some what.

You could always buy a silencer for it? Just a suggestion.
