I think this has been discussed a little here, but I cant find it.
I just from a state(IN) where they dont require front plates, to Colorado wear they require the front plates! I think the front plates take away from its natural beauty. but the side mount doesnt look to bad. Anyone know where I can get one????

After the auction ends he usually starts another one a couple days later with the same license plate holders.

Make your own, that's what I did. I first bent the license plate to form the curve of the bumper, then used velcro to fasten a normal plate holder to the plate itself, then used velcro to fasten the whole thing to the side bumper. Looks great and comes off 5 seconds.
The prob with the one on ebay is its just a rectangular, thick, piece of plastic. The real EVO mount has a shaved back to form to the curve of the bumper, so it doesn't stick out like the ebay version.
The way i did mine its really tight and flush to the bumper and cost about $6.00.

Genius idea I might do it for my eclipse since they require the same thing in Tx. Wouldn't adhesive gunk up on the bumper after a while though?

I bought one of these and love it. only two small holes and seems to hold up tightly. Still waiting to see the winter results, but I'm pretty sold.

Ya worked out nice. I would imagine taking the velcro that's stuck to the bumper off might leave gunk behind or even mess the paint up in that spot. It's really sticky stuff, but I have to have the plate, so I don't really ever plan on removing it. So far it still real clean when i take the plate off and since my car is black, with the plate off, you hardly see the black velcro at all.

close ups of my DYI plate relocation:

The only thing you have to make sure you do is get the corners down good. One of the lower corners is coming up a bit, but that's because I didn't extend the velcro far enough on that side. A little piece in the corner should fix it up.

you can buy one from you local mitsu dealer for 42$ witch is pretty steep ... or i think someone was selling them on here ... and i think if you buy them from the dealer they just come in black but someone was selling them for cheaper and they came with instructions and color matched for your car... dont recall who was selling them though...

Search "lancer 2008" in ebay and it is the first or second one that comes up... A lot of people are very happy with his license plate relocators but a few people have said that they stick off the car too much??? They fixed this by filing down the corners for a custom fit.

I do too. It goes right over the spot that has a weird cover on it for no apparant reason. It's really well done... problem is that it scratches up against your bumper. :(
