Yesterday I went to take out my factory radio, got it out np, and got a phone call got out of my car, went back to it few second later, and the security system started going nuts when I opened the door. I dont have a button or anything for this, so I just disconnected the ground on the battery and plugged it back in. Fixed the alarm problem, but now My hot wire (green/red) isnt giving off juice to turn my new radio on. Ontop of it I have a Indicator that says "PWR" that has lit up since all that happened. How do i fix this problem, I just want my cd player to work, and not have to worry about the Alarm system anymore.

I own a 1994 Mitsubishi Diamante.

Thanks,
Keith

Does the stock head unit give the PWR indicator? make sure all of the wires are firm and connected, usually when changing a head unit, its best to disconnect the battery so insure protection for yourself and the equipment. As for your issue, i would.....AHH sorry studying for a math mid-term leaves you braindead im just taking a break! When i come up with something I will get back to ya. Good luck for now.

The PWR indicator he is referring to is in the instrument cluster near the engine temp and petrol level gauges. This is normal at most cases. The car has an ECO and PWR mode that alters the shifting patterns of the transmission for a standard or more performance oriented drive . The TCM could have just reset to that mode when yu unhooked the battery
