I have been having this problem for a while where I have to press on the gas pedal as soon as I turn the key in order to keep the car running. I will turn the key, the car starts and the engine light comes on, and I must lightly press on the gas pedal until the engine light goes away, I have to release the gas pedal slowly or it may shut off again. Sometimes it still shudders a bit once I let go of the gas, but once it gets going it runs great! Had 2 mechanics look at it and so far can't figure it out...any suggestions?!! Thanks in advance for any assistance any one can provide.

there is a 16 pin connector under the dash, usually gray, put a piece of wire in the connector closest to the firewall, all the way to your right, no place the other end of your wire to something metal to ground it out. turn the key to the on position. the check engine light will come on for a second then go off. now, once the happens count the flashes. a long flash follow by one quick would be an eleven. 3 long pauses, would be a thirty and so on. once you find out the number let me know and i can tell you what code it is.
