Fast Key Issue

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 8-October 08 Member No.: 65,601 Status: Location: Canada Drives: 2008 Lancer GTS	Does anyone know what is wrong with my FAST key? All of a sudden none of the buttons work on my FAST key but I could still grab the handle to have the door automatically unlock and could turn on the car without inserting the key. It wasn't the battery because my spare key which I've never really used had the same problem. I took it into the Mitsu dealer and they tried to sort it out but in the process, the problem worsened and the door handle sensor and ignition sensor don't work now so I have to take the key out of the fob to open the door and start the car. They ordered two new fobs but i don't know if that's the problem or something in the car's electronics. Anyone else experienced this or know what is going on?

I took it to mitsubishi as a warranty issue, and it came down to a miscommunication problem with the key and the car. They had to re-program my key with my car. Just take it to mitsu, and you should be fine.

Were there any fixes to this issue? I still have this problem very often, and the dealer couldn't do anything, even after almost a dozen visits to the dealership ...

Veteran Group: Members Posts: 1,737 Joined: 19-June 08 Member No.: 59,794 Status: Location: USA Drives: 2007 OUTLANDER ES with the v6 and the 6 speed(no flappy paddles),2001 kia rio,1979 chevy k20 stepside	lots of things can make the fast key lose itself... magnetic fields.. electronics..cell phones-laptops pdas anything with a radio signal... too much static electricty.... the cia sending signals bouncing off satellites.... u are wearing your tinfoil helmet arent you?
