Will the transmission from a DOHC GT fit in a SOHC Stealth? The GT is a 96 and the Stealth is a 94 so they're of the same generation.

That's my guess as well, but I would like to know for sure.

pretty much no. on 3sx's transmission page they have kind of list the compatible years, and they make a direct note stating that the gt's tranny may or may not fit the stealth as far as the SOHC is concerned. so would be best not to chance it, and stick with a stealth tranny.

There where a few different transmissions made. Find the stamp on yours and get that one.

It will fit, but you won't have the location to bolt your coolant pipe to the bell housing. I would check to see if that bung is there first. It's a possibility that the DOHC had a trans swap done to it at some point in time.
