I'm sorry i'm not going to much in detail, my computer cut off 3 times alright, so thats 3 times i've been trying to go into detail on what i used and did. Very frustrating this computer is!

Heres a lil something i cooked up since i dont have a lot of money to spend.
I spent 20 bucks on the parts plus an extra 25 on the intake itself.
Aluminum dryer lint hose, 3" to 4" (step up?) coupling and 2 ring clamps. zipped tied and locked in place. Used electrical to to seal it better cause i felt better doing that lol.
zip tied a rubber piece to the aluminum hose b/c the battery can touch it and spark. Yeah, I did it. lol
Took off fake plastic mesh and put some metal mesh in. Required taking off the whole bumper. Oh and you can barley see the air filter on the right air vent.

This is a shot i took underneath the car. sry about the duct tape, like i said, i feel more secure at the joints lol. You can barely see the bottom end of my bumper its facing. Its a little dirty from where i USED to go in the dirt with the car. (poor shocks now) and that's it! zip tie away. dont hit any puddles!

The first reply...Ah of course a Bitch is gonna talk shit. But fuck that, why pay more money for something that's gonna do the SAME thing. I don't have a lot of cash to spend, I like to work on my car, and if i can do something for cheap, then fuck it, why the hell not? I had fun doing it, and that's what matters to me. I was just posting in detail. I mean shit, It's not like I'm trying to place at car shows with the Lancer. I could care less about that. I say its about having fun and making it work. After all, it's not your ride. Thank you.

thats pretty awesome. i like how you said sorry about the duct tape. lol. thats like what i did with the foglights i installed. the wires they came with would not reach the battery so i found a bunch of bits of wires and electrical taped the pieces so they would reach. pretty funny. but i really like to see people with stuff like k+n intakes and then someone with a homemade intake beats em. pretty funny. good job on it though.

Nice job man, looks like a fun project. May only gain 2hp to the wheels, but every bit helps!

well i dont wanna say I can "feel" an improvement b/c the most u get out of it is like 5 hp so u cant really feel that much change. I would have to dyno it or test it by racing a buddies car.
