i have a 97 eclipse rs with and intake and exhaust, thats it nothing else
car has:
brand new spark plugs and wires
new fuel pump relay
new fuel filter
new oil filter

heres my problem

ill drive my car for about 30-40 miles give or take. after going somewhere about this distance the car will feel like its at a lose of power, causing the jerking problem. the harder i push the gas the worse it is. if i turn my car off for a few seconds maybe about 10 it will go away for a little while, but it will come back not to long from turning the car off. if i dont turn it off for those 10 seconds or so it will just get worse and worse and the jerking will start to happen even when im hardly pushing the gas. it even happend to the point where my car stalled from this. the rpm's dont go crazy when this happen, they just jump as the engine jerks from say 3500 to 3700 or something like that.
the check engine light isnt on and no problems are read when it was put on a computer for testing or w.e mechanics do to see whats wrong.

the problem seems to be electrical to me because of the fact it goes away when the car is turned off and turned back on but i dont know.

here are the solutions ive heard from people:
temp sensor
fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator
grounds
transmission fluid
o2 sensors
cam sensor
computer
igniton box
ignition coil

its gettin really annoying and i dont know where to start.

Sounds kinda like a misfire to me. What are your plugs gapped to?

check your timing. the exhaust cam might be off a tooth. front O2 sensor as well.

for some reason in the PM's i thought you had a 4g63 car.

Honestly, I am thinking fuel pump.
I had a similar issue with another vehicle, and it ended up being a fuel pump (company didn't believe me. After $3500 in repairs and diag, they finally replaced the fuel pump. no maore problems after that).

alright well fuel pump and timing are whats first then. thanks guys.
also with the timing, this might be a stupid question but the exhaust cam is connected to the timing belt so when i change my timing belt i can check this right?

yes, when you change the timing belt you change all the timing, as in crank, intake, exhaust.

Sounds like my problem and I am telling you this I changed the cam sensor and it didnt help at all. I was going to change the crank sensor but I got laid off yesterday so that isnt going to happen for a while.

If it is the same as my problem then its probably not electrical since my problem only occurs after the car has warmed up.

Does it do it in neutral (free revving)? Or only under a load? Do you have an automatic or stick? Did it start doing this before or after you replaced the parts you indicated? What I do know is that it dosen't take a car 30-40 miles to go into closed loop. Don't think it's electrical. Your engine should achieve operating temp in the first three,. Your transmission, however, will keep getting hotter and hotter, and your fluid will loose more and more viscosity. I bet you have an auto. Change the filter and fluid. And untill you do, drive it as little as possible.

I did change mine right before I posted to change it. I am not get the jerking anymore but I am getting a P0300 code which means multiple/random misfires. The spark plug wires have been on my car for 4 years so I am hoping that is my "new" problem.

Odds are your wires are bad. If they have been on that long go ahead and change them anyway. You should always change your wires and plugs at the same time.

oo ok then, you didn't mention that you changed it before you told me to . so i took it as you wanted me to be your test dummy. but hopefully its your plugs because i dont need another problem with my car right now. let me know if it goes away.
