i have been looking for a priced for sale 94 eclipse GSX, i did a google search and come to find every site i go to that claims to have a 94 eclipse GSX or even a GST for sale, it is often a 94 GS or RS with the lame 420A motor in it.

what is it with the 94 turbo's? do they have beer flavored nipples or something???

how come everyone is hoarding them? i mean i figured that if i could get a eclipse that i wanted i'd want the Gen 1 since i have read up on them being able to handle the most abuse out of em all, and since the birth of cars no car company has ever fixed all the bugs in a new model car until the 3rd year, so then i figured that i would want to get the last year they made them because those would be the best year they made them to get.

does anyone have a 94 GSX or GST still somewhat stock, that they know what they would ask for in a price range to sell it, if you were going to sell it that is? i just want to get a ball park figure so i can start working on saving up so i can get one. i absolutely want the 94 and i will settle for nothing less.

1994 Eclipses didn't come with the 420A Oo they came with the 4g63

And the 1993 is very little different than the 1994 I think they changed the floor mats and thats about it ...*sarcasm* but either way you can get any 1g and just change out parts

Mitsu started putting the 420A's in the 2nd gens in 95. I'm not sure how a 94 would have a 420A?

1st gens are hard to come by depending on the state. Here in San Antonio they're pretty rare i've only seen one other in the city and i think it was a GS too.

Personally I had a 90 1G and had wished that I had gotton the turbo version I just liked the 2 tone paint job mine a was plain Jane 4G63 auto got rid of it in 94 when the 2G's came out due the wife's job the milage @ 105k the wife cant drive a 5 speed so the 2G was mine all mine

1ga can take the most abuse in stock form without getting into drivetrain (6-bolt engine) years 89-early 92

1gb has a 7-bolt which is still pretty strong. years 92-94

it's all in the FAQ

o.k. thanks pwee05 i will check the FAQ, also thank you dertoter for correcting me on the 420A motor retardation i had there for a second, i was looking at Gen 2's all day and my brain had a fart malfunction.

all i know is that though experience of talking to ppl about turbo cars is if they didn't come stock with a turbo, its a bad idea to get the one that doesn't come with it and slap on a turbo without changing out all sorts of goodies. apparently if they weren't built with a turbo they aren't meant so see bewst, and i want a decent start off car first before i mess with aftermarket turbo's. (i want to learn the basics before i get into the hard stuff)

i just want a decent turbo'd car that i can turn up the boost and still have it be reliable. the consensus says that its either a Gen 1 eclipse GST/GSX or a damn Volvo, and how stylish can you look in a Volvo, i mean seriously? Gen 1 GST/GSX FTW am i right? i guess it looks like i'll just be trying to get a 92 i saw a few for sale here and there. not very stock though, but i guess as long as it has the stock turbo i'm alright. thanks guys, that is exactly what i was looking for!!! sorry again about the brain fart. (i'm really not retarded even though it looks like i am LMFAO!!!!)

If you're gonna get a 1g get a 90, 91, or a 92 (just make sure it's made before april of 92 so you get a 6 bolt block). And I would honestly hold out and wait to find a gsx so you can AWD.
