Hi -
I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage that I use primarily as transportation to and from work. I have had the car since April and it has worked great for me. Last week, my low beams on my headlights went out but I still have High Beams. I have checked every fuse and and wire that I can possibly find and everything appears to be in working order. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? There have been no other issues with anything electrical. I am attempting to keep from going to a mechanics office because of the cost. Any of your responses would be much appreciated.

thanks!

hi,

I sugest that you check the ground cable into the headlamps, there are three cables

v--- lowbeam
[] [] <---highbeam
[] <--gnd

because when the ground (gnd) have false contact only the highbeam works,

hope this helps....

Check the bulb. I think there is an electical problem with these mirages. I have had to replace my bulbs 5 times in the last 8months! No short, wires checked, fuses, etc. Hopefully thats all it is- change bulb. Good luck
