No point chipping if doing more upgrades just get an aftermarket ECU that way it can be retuned after each mod. works out cheaper than chipping every time if it could be done anyway. :57:

Not sure where to buy them over there but motec isn't bad. They don't make huge power difference but when other mods are included it can be tuned to get max benifit from them. My Link ECU we can change damn near everything. Altered the advance and timing, also took out the speed limiter and rev limiter, altered the air fuel mix and rate of feed by the fuel pump all these things add up but my original ECU couldn't handle any of the above needs. A chip was half the price of complete ECU and would need a replacement when other mods are added so cost effective to go the ECU replacement way. Rambling now blablabla. :D

the motec isnt an ecu upgrade. its a complete standalone engine management system. it completely replaces the ecu. thats why you can change every aspect of the cars engine performance. it is also like $4000 and i dont believe its available for automatic transmissions.

Yea they are stand alone but you getting ripped at $4000, my Link ECU was $1200 complete there is also Haltech, Greddy and Apexi as well there's a number of choices there.

Here is a US based company that could help

but those do absolutely nothing for stock cars. for FI, yeah you can use those to tune, but the emanage does the same and its only like $500

you also have to remember the ecu that is in the eclipse. its probably not the same as the one in your car

still not an ECU upgrade or a computer chip. those are piggyback systems that allow you to tune the car by modifiying the signals to the ECU
