Greetings, all. I'm new here, an American (Pittsburgher) living and working in Bangkok, Thailand. I've just purchased (today, in fact) a 2000 L200 4WD Strada Pickup, maxicab, with the 2800cc diesel engine, 5-spd. I've joined this forum to get some background for this truck. What is the general opinion of folks with experience with the 2800 diesel? Is it a reliable, long-lasting engine? Are there any common trouble areas I should watch out for? Mine has about 58000 miles, and almost all of it city driving. Bangkok is flatter than a table top, so stress from twisting around the kinds of hills and corners that my hometown has shouldn't be a problem. How reliable is the transfer-case and associated drive parts? Any opinions? Thanx. :thumbsup:
