No.Its 4G63 2.0L SOHC Carby...Anyway i've ordered the book, should have it by Friday.Unfortunatly not many people know much about these things. And i dont wanna involve mech's when i can fix'em my self. For example mech told me to replace the lpg converter to overcome a gas starvation, took me couple of weeks but fixed it ,it was the blocked lpg filter in the supply line canister, kept burning the rotor buttons they said new dist for $750,hahahaha it was the coil $5 from pick-a-part.

On further research it appears that the differences in lash adjuster equipped L300's is down there country of use.

Does your Vin start with "JMF"??

I'n my workshop manuals it lists both types including Lash adjuster equipped 4G63's for Australian delivered vans.

Ok, L300 = Mitsubishi Express.

Just turns out that some have them some don't depending on where the van was made for. JMF or Aus designed ones didn't have them like yours. However i have found alot of 8V 4G63 engines do have them here, mine does as did my last one.

I have full details on the adjustment procedure if you need them. The Gregorys manual doesn't have anything on solid types only the auto lash adjuster types.

Tx.Thats why i wanna take my solid one out and install adjustable one in to get rad of these annoying tappet noises.Altough it goes away after 10-15min,still ,,,,,, shouldnt make any at all, afterall its on 35K only. This is one of the reasons that i've ordered the book and in future (MAYBE) i might swap it with a 2.4 ECI.

I've received my manual today (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif) ,its got no coverage about the adjustable tappets (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ,but enough for the solid one's (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laughing.gif) .So if its no trouble for you ,can you mail me the info on adjustable ones please.Tx in advance. bjk956@yahoo.com.au

Also, another thing which i couldnt find any info about, there is a little pipe on the side of the fuel pump and extension plastic tube at the end of it which oil drips (drop or two a week or so) (could be a breather / vent pipe) i wonder if its normal or not ?

Howdy

Yeah i'll get it tomorrow.

Yeah its a breather for the fuel pump. It might have a small weep from the cyl head hence the oil. Might be worth replacing the pump if you haven't done it yet.
