The maintanence schedule for a 2007 Endeavor LS AWD states the plugs should be changed at 30k miles - "standard plugs". I bought this vehicle new. What plugs come originally? I refuse to pay the dealer to pop off a plug only to tell me they are platinum or don't need changing.

Manybrews, in my case, how long to get the spark plugs changed again?

My case: I just bought a 2004 xls awd with 64k for $5900.-. The car was perfect. But because i bought it at ebay "as is", and did not had any history on services, i took it to Mitsu dealership and ask them to do the "works". They had a nice paper with all the things to do for the 60k service, plus timing velt, and two outstanding recalls things. basically i told them to change anything they saw would need changing in the next 2 years, money was no object i told them (i bubbled something about shock absorvers, all hoses, etc, everything). Two days later they had the car ready, told me the car needed nothing extra, $1500.-

they did put new plugs, and from now on I'm going to pamper the thing (services wise), so when would you say i would need new plugs? if not 94k, around when ?
Thanks

mitsu recommends 60k intervals for the spark plugs. HOWEVER, assuming they used the factory NGKs, the ACTUAL life expectency is easily 100k.

My reommendations for the endeavor are do NOT change the plugs and the timing belt at 60k, but rather 100k.
