Firstly, as a newbie to the forum, can I just say Hi to everyone - in particular those of you that may help throughout this thread.

Suppose the easiest thing to do would be to list the symptoms, any and all help appreciated as I have had 2 x local garages have a look and a Mitzi dealer, and get different answers off each,

1) Rattle / squeak from engine when idylling
2) Will not accelerate up-hill after about 40-50mph (will happily go to 70mph down-hill) very sluggish, feels like it wants to cut out
3) After about 30-40 miles of driving from cold there is a screeching noise that sounds like a slipping belt during acceleration after about 2000rpm in every gear (belts have been changed, but problem persists especially up hills
4) When screeching occurs, engine starts to overheat very quickly, but then temp falls when I leave the accelerator pedal and screeching stops

Just to add it has done 105,000 miles - dont know if that helps but I'm desperate. Need the vehicle for work.
