Let's get a scenario here...

16 year old kid with 2 jobs. Works every day except weekends, then i work on my car :D

Let's say I can have about $10,000 saved up throughout the summer of 2005.

Give me a list of items to put on my car and in the order they should be put on.

Open to any suggestions / harrasment :P

this is a good way to go. dont get NOS, no offense but you are too young and probably arent the best of drivers yet, so hold off on that. if you want more power get a nice sized turbo.

yall have watched way to many F&F movies. nitrous would not be a problem for anyone to handle. The only thing i would worry about would be missing a shift.

if you want go then definately don't get a body kit or sound system thats all i've gotta say. kit=drag, system=weight

kit = less drag, more arrow dynamics and less air flow going under the car hence better at faster speeds. no offense but i don't need any suggestions from people who are guessing or don't know what they're talking about.

its not polite to ask for help and then criticize the people who help you. and body kits are strictly for show. they do not help in aerodynamics. they hurt the aerodynamics

Agreed,

I'd say 90%-95% of body kits add to the drag, and some even ADD weight.
As for Aerodynamics, you really don't see (measure) a difference in the front air damns unless your going a high rate of speed...80mph plus. I know....am a civil engineer...couple of years of aero/hydrodynamics classes.......best bet is to lower the car to minimize air flow under the car!.....

Side and Rear kits don't do jack...only wings!

You want to reduce weight....take out the front hood and replace it with carbon fiber....you will lose about 40 lbs there......also lose your rear seat, your radio, the passenger seat, the spare, the carpert, the sound insulator, ....get rid of all the bling bling!

If you want show...then get a kit, 20 inch rims, big brakes, some racing seats & harness, tinted windows, racing decals, new oil and radiator cap, a new chrome fuse box, undercar lighting and a kick as radio system.......but you will be running on a stock engine!

for 10 grand you can do a lot to the engine.

First thing Turbo kit! complete with new air intake filter, BOV, Wastgate and such. Whatever is left over, get a new suspension kit....coil covers, shocks/struts.

For the kids out there, a ride is not complete until you are riding on 20 inch chrome rims, with low profile tires......this does not do jack to your rid other than making you a mark for car jackers.....!

There are things that a guy has to do to make thier car go faster (DRAG)

Lose the wight.....that means the air, radio, carpet.....girl friend!

It may be a good idea to shave you head too! It will help to lose wieght and stream line the aerodynamics!

Try to tell your girlfriend to lose some weight because you need to shave off some time to beat that WRX that is killing you at the street light!

Maybe we can ask the girlfriend to lose some clothing!

Seriously, I rode with a co-worker with a new STI and he was telling me about getting a carbon fiber hood to lose some wieght...The guy is 5'10 and 220 lbs!
I wanted to tell the guy...go on a diet and while your at it...lose the DVD/PS2 system..and clean up is truck he uses as a trash can!
