So a while ago my 93 colt caught fire in the steering column area. I bought a 95 mirage for parts cuz you guys know how hard it is to find parts for these cars. I basically gutted the whole mirage nd used everything i possibly could.

The guy told me he had a new 1.8 put in the mirage cuz his old 1.5 blew. The 1.8 is about 40-60 thousand miles old but it has a blown headgasket. So i decided to take the 1.8 out, rebuild it from block up and throw it in my car, which has a 1.5 at the moment and its currently eating oil like crazy nd is about 160k. I have a new tranny in there so i figured id put a new engine in nd the car would last me quite a while.

My question is, is it gonna be really complicated to do this, nd will i have any tranny problems, such as bolting up to it or too much horsepower to handle from the upgrade.
any advice????

Building the engine is gonna be the hardest part. have you looked into rebuild kits? I think rpm.com has a couple choices. Check the bolt pattern on the engine and compare it to the tranny, if it will bolt up i am sure it will hold up.
