Hi there,

Hope someone can help, the clutch on my Space Star has started to slip noticeably in 2nd and 3rd gear. I do most work on cars myself but I've never needed to work on a clutch before. Does anyone know if it is just likely to need a new clutch or would it be worthwhile trying to bleed it or replace the cylinders first?

Any advice would be much appreciated, I've found this forum useful in the past particularly for cleaning the throttle body to solve an idle speed problem it had when I bought it.

Thanks, Ronnie.

Hello Ronnie, If the clutch is slipping, that is the engine revs but the car is not accelerating then the clutch is goosed I'm afraid, no amount of adjusting or renewing cylinder parts will help. Maybe get a quote from Mr Clutch or any other of the clutch people out there. Hope you get sorted, let me know. Cheers from Galway Boy.
