Hi everyone!
I have just joined the group. I recently bought a 04 Endeavor XLS. I only got one key with it - I am looking for a cheaper-than-dealer way of getting a spare key, program it and get a keyless remote/fob as I don't have one of them.
I can get a blank from ebay and get it cut - but is there a way of programming it without going to the dealer - I can't do the way the book says 'cos you need 2 keys first.
I have a spare remote fob from a 03 eclipse - does anyone know the precise instructions for reprogramming it to another car - I tried a couple of methods that required shorting pins 1 and 4 on the data link connector and pressing the hazards button a few times but it didn't work. There is a special sequence but I don't know it.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help

Rob

I had to go into the dealer to get my second made. As for the remote there was a tread not long ago just do a quick reading and you will find it.

NDTracer,

I read the thread but there was no specific info.... pity. My dealer said that he would program the key and remote for the one flat fee so I guess I'll go down this route.
Thanks
Rob
