Can anyone help with this probably very simple problem....

I recently bought a UK 2007 Outlander Elegance, I paired my phone and all works great. The problem is that each time I get into the car I have to manually connect the phone to the system and each time I turn off the ignition and restart ie at a petrol station I have to manually connect again.
From my understanding the phone and car should automatically connect when close together. Is this right?
If so, is it likely to be a problem wih my car or with my phone? I have checked all Bluetooth settings on my phone and I have authorised the car on the phone, should I go out and look for a new phone??

Any help would be appreciated - cheers

While i'm not familair with the blue tooth in that vehicle. In general car blue tooth systems have 2 connection settings, manual and automatic. I imagine that this is no different for your current setup and just needs to be toggled over to automatic.

My 2008 Elegance connects every time as you would expect it to. Have noticed a delay on the system where you don't hear it ringing and all of a sudden the person you called is there, weird!

What phone are you using, I have the same issue with my Blackberry Storm and it's the phone that’s the problem, my Nokia works fine as does my wife Sony and my old Sony.
