A 6A12 DOCH in an FTO pushes around 174 PS frum 1993-1995 and 183 PS frum 1996-2003 , with MIVEC it had 203 PS between 1993-1996 and 214 PS between 1996.5-2002 , they are lighter than an eclipse.

Yeah high reving . It gets like 138/142 TQ without MIVEC and 154-156 TQ with MIVEC which is great for an engine that size It also uses a variable geometry intake plenum like other Mitsubishi V6. An NA 6G73 (2.5) and 6G72 NA can fit in there , altho the hood clearance is close because of the mounting locations . But the 2.5 liter 6A13 can also be fitted in there for 241PS the 6G73 having a stronger bottom end and MIVEC can make around 20 more HP.
Lots of people thing there is a big differance between the 6A1 engine series and the 6G7 series, which is not true at all. They use nearly identical DOCH heads, the differance is that the 6A1 engine series heads are designed for lower engine widith and hood clearance , while the 6G7 DOCH heads are just a little taller but wider(for wider valve placment) for better RPM performance with a broader band or power and tq. The 6A1 DOCH head designed , mitsubishi allows KIA and Hyundai to use its design on their V6 engines. As in the KIA Parade/Caravan/Sedona and other V6 models that use a cheaper version of the 6G74 and 6G72 block. They also all use a Mitsubishi direct transmission. Anyway the 6A1 is also lighter than 6G7 , thus the 6G7 can take alot more abuse. It has a stronger bottom end. the 6A1 and 6G7 engines altho use the same SOCH 24valve heads tho, on lesser models .
