I have only 5,000 miles (and counting) left on my bumper to bumper warranty. I've noticed kind of a creaking/squeaking sound in the left front suspension when going over some bumps. I was able to confirm it is on the left by going over some speed bumps where only the left side goes over the bump.
My "regular" Mitsubishi dealer closed and I took my Endeavor to another Mistsu dealer where they did some recall work. They also promised to call me when they received some material they were going to put behind a squeaky door panel (the silver one below the arm rest). I felt they were lying to me about that and of course I never got the call. I don't trust this dealer but they're the only game in town now (and not a convenient location for me).
Any ideas as to whoat might be causing this squeak?
It's hard to make a good diagnosis without seeing the vehicle. With what you telling me, if the noise is coming from the left front wheel, then in my experience there are a few possibilities.
1. Possibly the strut bearing
2. It could be stabalizer bar links
3. It could be the stabalizer bar bushings are worn.
4. It could be something to do with the door panel as the dealer suggests. Chances are they are right, because, working at a dealership myself I know that if anything is under warranty we would replace it. It doesnt cost the dealership any money to replace things under warranty, they get their money from Mitsubishi Motor Company. Very rarely have I seen suspension problems in cars that are still under warranty unless they are covered under the extended warranty. Most suspension parts last longer than what the warranty will cover. If you are still unsure, or do not trust the dealership, take it to another local garage to get a second opinion, because like I said, it's difficult to make a proper diagnosis without having the vehicle in front of me.
