I'm going to install subs soon and the question is where to run power wire for the amp, it will be a 4 gauge wire.
Is it possible to run it without drilling into the fire wall? if not where is the best place to drill?

I searched for this, but it doesnt look like there is any topics on that.

so any help is appreciated
thanx

I read somewhere that if you have an automatic then there is a hole under the black thing cover where the clutch pedal would normally sit. I havent checked it out myself but that seems to be the place to go. all you would ahve to do is drill through the plastic cover and it makes for a clean install. Check it out and see what you find back there. as for the manual I dont have n idea of how they are made up down there so i wouldnt b able to help.

There should be some grommet holes in the firewall there already. Usually down near the steering column above your pedals.

there are holes by the trunk/gas levers that go through the frame to the out side behind the driver side mud flap. you then run it up between the body and frame to the battery.

I used this for my neons... If you want there is also a single gromet under the trumk that goes straight up to the back of the trunk with no problem at all. If you want to use tht and run the wire under the car thats an option too.

Why make it so hard. Here, Look for the grommet in my pictures on my post. Thats byfar the easiest way and least visible to the elements to go.

http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/index.php?showtopic=46316

Dont forget, once you cut into the boot, Or drill any spot or anything. It wont be the same lol. Itl always be cut. Use the grommet. I did, and no problems. Took 10 minuts to run the wire to the back

The hole behind passenger side strut is ment for the power wire, took me less than 10min to run power wire through there.
I propose mod to make a sticky thread, i can take pics and write some basic steps on how to do it.
