There is no specific intake model for the 08 or 09 Lancer, but the universal kits should do it. Here is the link to the site:
http://www.apexi-usa.com/search_detail.asp...p;isUniversal=1
I've read many times about that intake and it is supposedly one of the best filtering and flowing intakes there is. And it is not an oiled filter so no issues with the MAF and overoiling. But I don't know how the ECU will react to it or even which size would fit. Has anyone though about trying it?

I dont get it. Where is the piping for the ilter? or is this just a filter that will sit on the end of the sock tubing like the rrm v1? and the MAF issues with other intakes were not caused by the oiled filters it was the location and fitment of the MAF its self.

Go with a system that is specifically designed for our car or go for a drop-in.

Can't see much from the photo and I don't feel like reading the info.
But I can almost guarantee that you would run into MAF sensor issues. You gotta have it mounted somehow, somewhere.
I know Fujita has been having problems with their first SRI's because of the sensor. And they were making the mounting point specifically for our vehicle.
The sensor (as far as I know) has to be centered properly and at a proper depth, otherwise it will get thrown off. So, oil or not on the filter that could cause issues.
Again, Fjuita has a dry filter also, and it was causing issues.
You get something that Universal, chances are you'll be returning it or trying to sell it...

It does look cool though (from as much as you can see from those small pictures).

The MAF sensor is not going to be touched at all with the installation of this intake because the filter sits on the stock piping and just replaces the stock filterbox. Also, if you search around the net you'll find a lot of very good reviews of the system. I don't know, but it actually seems like it will be an easier, safer and better alternative to the K&N Typhoon for the '08 Lancer, because it is not possible to have MAF issues, it filters better and flows better.

I see. If it's just the filter then you should be fine. As long as you can mount it properly so it doesn't move around.

Actually, a MAF sensor holder and adapter would be necessary. I was wrong. There is no way around that. The RRM V1 intake has one that could be used, they say it is CNC machined (what does that mean?). I don't know where to get one separately. If somebody knows please let me know.
