Hey guys I'm ready to install an aftermarket deck, and i'm looking for a wiring diagram. I understand that wiring harness should do the trick,
but it's always good to know what that extra pink wire with a white strip means or something like that.
Also where can I find a guide on how to remove the stock unit, plastic that it's made off is so soft that I'm scared to play around with it not knowing where all the clips and bolts are.

Thanx for any help

do a search on the web for a diagram. To remove your deck, open your glove box. Remove the screw on the right hand side. Pull the piece out the the screw was holding. There should be another screw holding the trim that goes though the middle of your dash. Remove it and pull of the trim. Next pull off your stock stereo's face panel . Disconnect the harness that goes to hazard light button and the rest should be common sense.

heyy. thanks for the tip on how to get the stereo out. i have a 2008 lancer es and i tried to take out the stereo just to see what it would take to put a new one in. unfortunatly i thought i had to take off the hazzard light piece. so i pulled and pulled and it came out real fast but then i realized there was a white lookin strip connected just behind where the it shows if the passenger air bag is on. one end was connected the other wasnt. so now i was like shit!!! i put it all together again turned on my car everything was fine until i looked up at the dash. the music was playing but the time or song track wasnt displaying on the little screen. also the only way i could control the music was from the steering wheel. PLEASE if you know what could have happened or where the other end of the strip could go i would really like to know. thank you very much and i hope you can let me know asap.

press the display button. That should scroll through. Other than that, the little strip has nothing to do with it other than the airbag lights. And it just illuminates them.
